ASHLEY RAMIREZ OF OLA KILLED IN TRACTOR-TRAILER CRASH

According to a fatal crash summary of the Arkansas State Police, 25 year old, Ashley Ramirez, of Ola, died in an accident occurring on December 3, 2015, at 9:41 a.m. in Yell County on State Highway 10 west of Ola.

The report indicates that a 2005 Kenworth traveling west crossed left of center while negotiating a curve.  Ms. Ramirez’s vehicle, a 2006 Lincoln Navigator, was reportedly eastbound and struck the 18 wheeler in the westbound lane. Her vehicle thereafter continued across the roadway and into a ditch.  Ms. Ramirez was pronounced dead at the scene.

The report provides no information regarding the driver of the tractor-trailer or the owner of the vehicle. The weather was clear at the time and the road was dry. The investigating officer was Trooper Seth C. Race.
